BethHarold Private Duty Care staff is well-trained and offers 1-on-1 care whether in the clients' home or assigned facility. We provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Social Worker, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Nurse's Assistant, Home Health Aide and Nutritionist services. Our nurses are highly trained and skilled in Home Infusion Therapy and Advanced Wound Care Management. In addition, we offer care services in the specialized areas of ventilators and trach care, paraplegic and pediatric care, and closed head injury. A Registered Nurse is assigned to each client to coordinate services, providing the initial assessment and continuing with monthly and supervisory visits throughout the duration of care.

SKILLED SERVICES
Registered Nursing
Provides services to patient in the comfort of their homes. The RN assessses the patient's health care needs and coordinates other services required for the well being of the patient.
Patient well-being requires:
- Assessement of patient, family & home environment
- Identifies problems
- Plan of Care consultation with patient/family/physician
- Preventative and rehabilitative procedures
- Evaluation
- Supervises overall nursing care regarding patient's caregivers
Licensed Practical Nurses
Provides nursing care and teaching to patient's/families. He/she functions as an assistant to the Physician and the Registered Nurse and is supervised byt the assigned RN.
Patient well-being requires:
- Planning & coordination of total care in conjunction with the RN & Physician orders
- Follows Plan of Care
- Observes & Evaluates
- Applies learned nursing skills
- Prepares clinical/progress notes of daily visit. Prepares summaries for the RN
- Assists the patient with activities of daily living while teaching self-care techniques
Physical Therapists
Is a qualified professional who provides physical therapy to the patient in the comfort of their own home.
Patient well-being requires:
- Evaluation of patient by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint & functional abilities test
- Indentifies Problems
- Sets Goals
- Establishes Plan of Care with patient/family/physician
- Instructs patients/families for the use of prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices
Occupational Therapists
Provides and supervises therapy services & acts in a consulting manner to other care givers.
Patient well-being requires:
- Reviews referring medical information prior to intial assessment
- Evaluates patient status
- Consults with other care givers to develop a treatment plan
- Outlines patient goals & objectives
- Reviews patient progress
- Implements treatment plan
- Provides training & education to patient/family/spouse
Speech & Language Therapists
Assesss and treats speech and languade disorders. Including development, mental, and organic involvement.
Patient well-being requires:
- Speech pathology or audiology in accordance to physician's Plan of Treatment
- Assists the physician in assessing the patient's level of functioning and development of Plan of Care
- Applys appropriate tests for speech, hearing and language disorders
- Instructs patient/family/caregivers in the phases of speech pathology in which thye may assist the patient
- Recommends hearing tests and checks hearing aids
- Records & reports the reaction to treartment and any changes in the patient's condition to the physician/client care manager/case manager
Nutritionists
Conducts & implements comprehensive nutritional assessment for patients who are at nutritional risk. Provides a variety of nutritional therapy intervention methods to resolve nutritional crisis and ensure health maintenance.
Patient well-bieng requires:
- Visiting patient to evaluate food intake and acceptance
- Perform nutritional assessments
- Provides diet instructions and charts progress
- Assess the need for supplementary feedings and consults with the physician
